We have manufacturing facilities in the UK to make unique products or ones that are adapted for specific purposes.

Step 1

We’ll discuss your requirements and establish the sort of design that would make the most sense.

Step 2

Then, we will get to work producing a design that meets the agreed brief.

Step 3

After that, we will deploy the latest 3D printing techniques – among others – to produce a working prototype.

Step 4

Upon receipt of it, if the prototype needs to be tweaked or completely overhauled, we are at your disposal and we can work towards a final endpoint.

Injection Moulding

Operating from our 63,000 square feet site in Essex, we house several robot-enhanced moulding presses, from 35 to 250 tonne clamping force, operating up to 24 hours a day and accommodating everything from low to high volume production runs. Our designers, engineers and sales team work closely together and this collaborative approach allows us to provide you with a comprehensive, one-stop service from an initial sketch idea to the first production run.

Polymers

The type of polymer used for your product is critical to its performance and in discussion with you, we will advise on the best polymer selection for your product. Alplas stocks the most commonly used polymers together with a large range of masterbatch used to colour products. Where required we can obtain particular colours to match Pantone and RAL colour references, allowing your product to precisely match your brand or promotion colour.

Case study

Spirit Displays gave us a brief to manufacture a cost-effective version of their existing product. Our designers and engineers worked together to create a first model and with input from Alistair at Spirit, we were soon able to produce a working prototype. Further customer input and adjustments were made to ensure the new product achieved a comfortable, ergonomic fit for the end user. We were subsequently given the green light to make the moulding tool and within 2 weeks the first production shots were manufactured. One key benefit we were able to offer to Spirit was the choice of product colour and everything was achieved in time for its immediate marketing appearance at a trade show.
