Background
Alplas recognised the growing demand for cost-effective, UK-manufactured leaflet dispensers, leading to the inception of the Take1 brand within their already extensive range. This innovative idea, conceived by the Alplas team, spurred the decision to produce the Take1 brand in-house, echoing their dedication to pioneering design and superior quality. Produced in-house and under one roof, Alplas has developed a diverse range of our Take1 leaflet dispensers, showcasing our commitment to expanding product offerings and providing solutions. The objective was to offer customers in the UK and beyond a locally manufactured option that met their specific quality, functionality, and aesthetic appeal requirements.
Design
Alplas developed their comprehensive range of our Take1 leaflet dispensers using CAD design. Our in-house engineers created 3D prototypes for various sizes and mounting configurations, including counter-top A4, A5, and 1/3rd A4 (DL) options, as well as wall-mount A4, A5, and 1/3rd A4 (DL) sized dispensers under the Take1 brand. Additionally, postcard size (A6 Landscape), and business card size were designed specifically for countertop and wall-mounted displays, ensuring seamless integration with the corresponding holders.
Skilled engineers, specialising in injection moulding tooling, crafted the tools required for manufacturing the leaflet dispensers. This approach ensures full control over the manufacturing process, allowing for adjustments to be made swiftly and efficiently, ultimately resulting in high-quality products that meet Alplas’ high standards.
The design prioritized durability, aesthetics, and ease of use to enable a cost-effective solution for the consumer. Special attention was given to material selection to ensure robustness while maintaining an appealing visual aesthetic that complements various retail environments. Furthermore, Alplas offers a unique made-to-order colour match capability, allowing customers to precisely match their brand or promotional colours, thereby creating standout, eye-catching displays.
In House Manufacturing
Once the designs were finalised, Alplas utilised its injection moulding facilities for in-house manufacturing. Alplas’ skilled engineers meticulously machined moulds based on the approved designs, ensuring precision and consistency in every piece produced.
The manufacturing process involved high-quality polymer injection, allowing Alplas to manufacture products to any tinted colour. Customers could supply their Pantone® or RAL colour references, enabling Alplas to precisely match their brand or promotional colours on made-to-order requirements.
